We often hear from small scale users that they can get less expensive products at their local liquor store. A 1-gallon container of Neutral Grain Spirits at 190º contains 1.9 proof gallons of alcohol. It takes 5.14 containers of the 80º Vodka to provide an equal amount of alcohol. Reasonably good vodka generally costs $20 - 25 per 1.75 liter bottle, this is the equivalent of $103-$129 per 1.9 proof gallons. (Proof Gallons are used to measure the alcohol content uniformly; they are defined as one gallon of 100º.)
